DC has announced Supergirl: The World, a powerful new hardcover anthology releasing globally on June 2, 2026. Featuring stories from 15 countries and told by a dynamic array of international creators, this prestige-format collection celebrates Supergirl’s inspiring legacy through cultural and artistic lenses from across the globe.

Following the success of Batman: The World and Joker: The World, this new installment unites global storytelling with one of DC’s most powerful icons. Creators from Germany, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Cameroon, France, Poland, Turkey, Finland, Colombia, Serbia, Japan, and the United States contribute unique perspectives on Supergirl’s enduring legacy.

Each story stands alone, rooted in its country of origin and offering everything from heartfelt local narratives to epic mythological journeys. Together, they form a rich and deeply personal portrait of the Maiden of Might.

“Supergirl has long been a symbol of hope and resilience,” DC said in its announcement. “In this anthology, she discovers new corners of the world while readers discover how different cultures see this legendary hero.”

The anthology includes:

  • A U.S. story by Mariko Tamaki, Skylar Patridge, and Joëlle Jones
  • Spain’s Aneke writing and illustrating her chapter
  • Contributions from celebrated creators including Mahmud Asrar (Turkey), Stevan Subic (Serbia), Sara Rodríguez (Colombia), and more

Thanks to partnerships with local publishers like Panini, Ovni, Zebra Comics, and Urban Comics, Supergirl: The World will release day-and-date in its home regions with translated editions and country-specific cover art.
