How long is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness?

DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness opened on Friday, May 6th. How long should you prepare to be in the theater?

Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), his faithful companion Wong (Benedict Wong), and Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), the Scarlet Witch, take an exciting voyage through the Multiverse in Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. When we last left Doctor Strange, he was helping Peter Parker in No Way Home. He’s joined by America C (played by Xochitl Gomez) along with plenty of other characters, new and old.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness clocks in at 2 hours and 6 minutes. The average runtime for a movie in the MCU is roughly 2 hours and 12 minutes, which makes this film slightly shorter than most Marvel Studios films. The first film to feature Strange, Doctor Strange, clocked in at 1 hour and 55 minutes (tied for the second shortest film in the MCU), so I would expect a decent pace in Multiverse of Madness. However, with this being a multiversal adventure, there will be plenty of cameos in addition to the story director Sam Raimi is trying to tell—it’s a wonder they’ll be able to fit everything in this movie within its runtime!

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Elizabeth Olsen, Xochitl Gomez, and plenty of other actors rumored to be a part of this massive undertaking directed by Sam Raimi. The movie is now open and in theaters everywhere.
