Disney+ Debuts Brand-New Teaser Trailer For “Obi-Wan Kenobi”
The teaser trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi was published today by Disney+, giving fans an exclusive first look at the highly-anticipated limited series, which will premiere exclusively on the streaming service on May 25. Check it out in the video above or by clicking here.
The limited series picks up 10 years after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, in which Obi-Wan Kenobi suffered his greatest defeat—the demise and corruption of his best friend and Jedi trainee, Anakin Skywalker, who became wicked Sith Lord Darth Vader. Prior to the sequel trilogy coming out, the three films that focused on Obi-Wan and Anakin were widely panned. However, the animated series The Clone Wars has done much to salvage that era of Star Wars. Ever since Disney started announcing new projects set in a galaxy far, far, away, fans have been pining over an Obi-Wan Kenobi film or limited series.
Some may wonder why the series isn’t opening on May the 4th, aka Star Wars day? Shout out to Jeff Stormer for this bit of trivia—Star Wars opened on May 25th way back in 1977!
The series stars Ewan McGregor, who reprises his role as the renowned Jedi Master, as well as Hayden Christensen, who reprises his role as Darth Vader. Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie are among the newcomers to the cast.
Obi-Wan Kenobi is directed by Deborah Chow and executive-produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Deborah Chow, Ewan McGregor, and Joby Harold.

First and foremost, Kev is a dad to three wonderful children. He’s also an uber Kevin Smith fan (all Smith’s movies are worth a watch, even Yoga Hosers) who has cried during Kermit’s monologue in The Muppets and once owned two VHS copies of Spice World. He loves all pop culture, particularly the MCU and Star Wars. The Evil Dead franchise is his favorite horror franchise, though the original Scream is his favorite scary movie. He bleeds Eagle’s green in the (suburbs of the) greatest city on Earth, Philadelphia. Go Birds!
