Reflecting on the trajectory of our technological advancements, Rogers explores ways to bring back a human element to humanity in some entertaining ways. Though the pandemic is likely still fresh in our minds, it’s ancient history for Jim, and the author connects the future and our recent past in interesting ways. Confinement and claustrophobia were both very real things that people had to contend with, and we may be heading in that direction intentionally, if Picture This has any truth to it. Though there are some potentially weighty elements to the story, what really ties it all together into a complete package is the lightheartedness with which the author presents his story.
