Duane and Mallory write everyone with depth and dimension, ensuring that nobody feels one-note at any point in the story. It also doesn’t hurt that several of those characters are mighty dragons, with interesting personalities themselves. The dialog is fun and witty, helping to bridge the gap between one interesting story segment and the next.
