Greetings travelers. We have got a very busy week for you, with a recent author we’ve worked with leading the charge once again. While Raymond Duane previously gave us a bombastic fantasy that harkened back to the classics, we’ve got something that feels a bit more modern in their latest promotion. If that’s got your interest, read on to learn more about Fort Jafra: Beware the Rae Jungle.
Author Raymond Duane and his wife Jill Mallory are a combined force to be reckoned with in their release Fort Jafra: Beware the Rae Jungle. We’ve seen before that Duane has a penchant for building interesting mythology into the world he crafts, and so it goes in this world hidden within our world in this collaboration with Mallory. There’s magic at play here in this version of India that will no doubt grip readers firmly, and compel them to keep reading, to learn the secrets that are revealed by the parting veil. Everything written by the duo has a flair that immerses its audience, making it seem like they’re experiencing the action, rather than just reading words on a page.
A cataclysmic upheaval shakes Earth to its foundation, cracking continents and killing millions. Dragons and other mythological creatures are set free to roam again a world that was once theirs.
Magic is everywhere, and tied to a talisman called the Amulet, whose power controls magic, for love or hate, depending on who possesses it.
An evil sorcerer arises and makes a bid to not only subdue all of humanity, but the monsters of legend as well. Only one person can possibly stop him.
All Elethia ever wanted was a loving family and to practice her gift of healing, for people and the animals she cherished. But it’s blood connections she hadn’t known existed that thrust her into a fight for her life.
Probably most captivating about this story will be its wonderful cast of characters. Duane and Mallory write everyone with depth and dimension, ensuring that nobody feels one-note at any point in the story. It also doesn’t hurt that several of those characters are mighty dragons, with interesting personalities themselves. The dialog is fun and witty, helping to bridge the gap between one interesting story segment and the next. This is a lovely standalone contemporary fantasy that has plenty of secrets to unveil along the journey. If your intrigue can bear no more, prepare for a grand adventure.
