Urban Fantasy Promo – Life In Colors

Howdy folks.  After a very busy week last week, we’re not even taking a breather before we race out of the gates again.  We’ve been looking at a lot of traditional (or traditional-esque) fantasy these last few days, so today we’ve got something that’s running on a bit of a different pace.  Read on to learn more about the folksy Life in Colors.

Author Aaron Alberto has spent the last year or so exploring tons of different stories.  Though he’s explored different genres, they’re all unified in his descriptive style.  It’s almost as if he took watercolor and extended it to prose.  So it is in Life in Colors, a story that reads like a new folk tale crossed with a time traveling portal fantasy, and it has such charm and character it will be hard to cast it from your mind after you’ve completed your time with it.  Alberto’s stories feel as though they were written by someone who has a lot of love for the craft, and this fantasy brings readers along for a wonderful ride.

Welcome to Spain, land of tomatoes, olives, and magic! Adoro Villa goes on a trip to Spain during his summer vacation, however while hiking in the forest, he gets lost. While searching for his way out of the woods, he finds a young girl who is also lost . The two wander around nature’s landscapes before they meet the enigmatic woman, The Lady of Elche, who helps them find their way out of Spain’s scorching desert. This however comes with a trade off, with The Lady of Elche sending Adoro, and the young girl, Solana, to retrieve her missing blue crystal, which is being searched for by secret intelligence members as well. While the young duo are able to retrieve the blue gemstone, the situation ends up being more than they bargained for. Feeling unsafe, The Lady of Elche, sends them back in time, to an era of medieval action in Spain. Once there, Adoro and Solana must integrate themselves to the ancient way of lifestyle. But even with surrrounding endless opportunities, Adoro finds himself unhappy with this sort of lifestyle due to its’ brutish payoffs.

Life in Colors is a delightful bit of escapism.  While Alberto doesn’t shy away from the outer edges of a few more mature elements, the story is rooted in its more colorful expressions and playful moments.  It’s great for kids and young adults who love whimsical fantasies, and it’s breezy and enjoyable throughout.  If that sounds like it would be up your alley, what are you waiting for?  Check out Life in Colors in paperback on Amazon today!
