The Future Brigade’s Next Single Celebrates International Cat Day

The Future Brigade has a new song for International Cat Day

New Kids Single Released for International Cat Day on August 8

The Future Brigade, a new kids musical sensation, will release their second single, Cat Attack (Watch Your Back!) through Vox Records just in time for International Cat Day (August 8). Wes Charlton, a singer/songwriter from Virginia, came up with the song Cat Attack, which invites children to learn about the value of animal conservation while grinning, laughing, and tapping their feet to the music. The Future Brigade will use their social media and the online debut of the song Cat Attack (Watch Your Back!) to spread awareness of International Cat Day education via digital channels.

Parents and kids need wonderful music to jam to, both individually and especially as a family, whether they are doing something together or separately, in the car, at home, outside, watching TV or a movie, or even in the classroom. Through songs that teach children that positive change begins at home with them, that each person makes their own choices every day (not just on International Cat Day), and how those little acts/choices can change the world for the better if everyone participates, The Future Brigade makes education hip and fun.

The Future Brigade

All generations can enjoy the cool music that The Future Brigade provides. Their goal is for listeners and their children to hit play together, grin broadly, start dancing to the beat, and perhaps even learn something interesting and instructive in the process! The Future Brigade achieves this by fusing genre styles and musical “nods” or references to all facets of entertainment, pop culture, and education in a clever, intentional, and integrated manner so that generations of children and adults can react favorably, take pleasure in, and, to be honest, freak out to the same hits.

Wes Charlton

Three of Wes Charlton’s albums have received excellent reviews; NPR selected his sophomore album, Morning Stars, as Album of the Week. His songs have been used in movies and television shows since he made his television debut on NBC’s Nashville. Wes has performed as the opening act for a wide range of performers, including Tim Easton, Stephen Bruton, Michelle Shocked, Pat McGee Band, and Virginia Coalition. He has performed at the Americana Music Conference in Nashville and the Midwest Music Summit in Indianapolis. He’s performed at prestigious Nashville venues, including the Basement, 3rd & Lindsley, The Bluebird Café, and 12th & Porter. The summer music video class at the NY Film Academy included Wes as a guest artist, and Arc Music Group chose him to finish a publisher-approved recording project for John Lee Hooker and Sonny Boy Williamson. Father Please Put the War Away, Wes’ upcoming studio album, is currently under development and scheduled for release in February 2023.
